Wendy Williams Collapses On Live TV As She Faints In The Middle Of Her Show

Wendy Williams sent viewers into a panic today when she collapsed on live TV. The US presenting star was dressed as the Statue of Liberty for a special Halloween broadcast of her show, Wendy, when she fainted.

As her show returned from a break, Wendy began introducing the next segment from her spot behind a podium.

"Welcome back," she said. "It's time for our Halloween costume contest, we do it every year, it's always a lot of fun, let's get started." Wendy's voice then breaks a little as she continues talking, and a terrified look suddenly comes over her face.

It's clear that she's struggling and isn't feeling well.

The presenter clearly suffers from a dizzy spell as she stumbles backwards and tries to grab onto the podium to save herself from falling.

But poor Wendy suddenly falls to the ground and crew members rush to her side to help her.

Wendy's show was going out live on the East Coast of America, so when it happened, producers quickly cut to black then to a commercial.

When the show returned, Wendy explained that she'd overheated in her costume.

Court Suspends Catalan Independence Declaration

Spain’s Constitutional Court today ordered the suspension of last week’s declaration of independence by the Catalan parliament, a court source said.

“The court plenary has just provisionally suspended the independence declaration” while it examines an appeal by the Spanish government, the source said, indicating the latest in a series of measures by Madrid to stifle the region’s independence drive.

Spain’s Supreme Court also summoned Catalonia’s former parliamentary speaker to appear for questioning this week to be charged over the region’s independence drive. Carme Forcadell and her parliamentary deputies have been summoned to appear in court on November 2 and 3, the top court said in a statement.

Indian Bookseller Arrested For Sodomising 11-Year-Old Nigerian Boy

A 35-year-old bookseller has been arrested for allegedly sodomizing an 11-year-old Nigerian boy inside the school premises for the last three-four years. He was arrested from Sigma Sector 2 late night on Tuesday. The accused has been sent to judicial custody for 14 days.

"We have sent him to judicial custody for 14 days. The child was sent for medical examination on Tuesday. We have initiated the proceedings. We will also talk to other students with the help of child counsellors," said a senior police official.

The accused has been identified as Ashok Mishra, who runs a bookshop inside the school in Pi Sector 2 of Greater Noida. Mishra had been sodomizing the Nigerian child by luring him to the washroom, his shop etc.

The 11-year-old victim remained silent all these years as he was allegedly being threatened with dire consequences by the accused.

The incident has once again highlighted the loopholes in the safety of the children in schools. Last month, a 7-year-old was found dead inside the washroom with his throat slit at the Ryan International School in Bhondsi area of Gurugram.

"The administration was shocked to come across such incident. We respect the parents and the child is important to us. We will take all the necessary steps and help the police. We have also formed a 6-member committee to look into this matter. Security will also be increased," said Mukta Mishra, Principal of the school.

Following sexual assault allegations of a Nigerian student, police teams and the District Magistrate on Wednesday conducted investigations at the school in Greater Noida and collected CCTV footage of the premises.

Woman, 56, Bags 10 Years For Cocaine Trafficking

A 56-year-old woman and mother of four, Modinat Owolabi, was on Tuesday convicted and sentenced to 10 years imprisonment for cocaine trafficking.

Owolabi was convicted by Justice Rilwan Aikawa sitting at the Federal High Court in Lagos.

She was arraigned on one count by the National Drug Laws Enforcement Agency.

She pleaded guilty to the charge. While reviewing the facts of the case, the prosecuting counsel for the NDLEA, Mr. Ibrahim Abu, told the judge that Owolabi was arrested on May 19, 2017 at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Ikeja.

He said Owolabi was found in illegal possession of 330 grammes of cocaine during the outward clearance of a Qatar Airways flight to Saudi Arabia.

Abu told the judge that she acted contrary to Section 11(b) of the NDLEA Act, Cap. N30, Laws of the Federation of Nigeria, 2004, and was liable to punishment under the same Act.

In proof of the case, Abu tendered several items as exhibits, including Owolabi’s harmonised ECOWAS passport numbered 1808098653 and an e-ticket.

Other items tendered as exhibits and admitted by the court in evidence against Owolabi included three confessional statements, which she volunteered to the anti-narcotics agency; and a pouch containing the 330g of cocaine, among others.

Justice Aikawa pronounced Owolabi guilty as charged by the NDLEA.

Her lawyer, Morenike Ogunleye, pleaded with the court to temper justice with mercy in sentencing her, stating that she was a first offender.

“My Lord, the convict is a first-time offender, and she is sober. She is a mother of four children, who is single-handedly taking care of them, as she has separated from her husband.

“In sentencing her, I urged My Lord to consider Section 416(2)(b)(d) of the Administration of Criminal Justice Act 2015,” Ogunleye pleaded.

After being told by the prosecutor that the offence carry life imprisonment, Justice Aikawa held, “I have listened to the plea made on her behalf by the counsel, and also listened to the prosecutor that she has no record of crime.

“I am balancing; I have to consider both her plea and what the law says about the crime.

“Consequently, I hereby sentence her to 10 years imprisonment, starting from the day of her arrest.”

“The Insurance Scheme will assist the small-scale business people to replace their lost property, especially whenever a disaster which we are not praying for has occurred,” the emir said.

Father Sets Son Ablaze

A 43-year-old father, Musa Mohammed, has been arrested by the Rights Protection Agency in Niger for setting his 15-year-old son, Bello Musa, ablaze.

Mariam Kolo, the Director-General of the agency, disclosed this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria on Tuesday in Minna.

She said that the incident occurred around Polytechnic Road, Bida, in Bida Local Government Area of the state.

Ms. Kolo explained that Mr. Musa tied the victim up and siphoned petrol from his motorcycle, poured it on the victim and set him on fire because of his alleged frequent quarrels with his elder brother.

According to her, the quick intervention of neighbours helped save the victim from being burnt to death.

“During questioning, the father confessed that his action was as a result of the behaviour of the boy, that he is always quarrelling with his elder brother and rude to him.

“He said that he was tired of the boy’s bad behaviour and had warned him several times to stop fighting his elder brother, but he refused to adhere to the warning,” she said.

The director-general said that the accused would be charged to court under Section 25 of the Child Rights Law and Sections 299 and 348 of the Panel Code Law.

She said that the victim is receiving treatment at Umaru Ndayako General Hospital, Bida.

Earlier, the father admitted to have poured petrol on his son and set him ablaze.

However, he pleaded with the agency for leniency, saying he committed the offence out of anger.

5 Years After, US Captures Man Involved In Killing Of Four Americans In Libya

US forces have captured a man accused of involvement in the 2012 attack on an American compound in the Libyan city of Benghazi, President Donald Trump said.

Mustafa al-Imam was seized in Libya, the president said in a statement.

Mr al-Imam is facing charges including murder. The US ambassador and three other Americans died in the incident.

During last year's election campaign, the raid became a focus for Republican attacks on Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton. She was secretary of state when the compound was targeted in September 2012.

"Yesterday, on my orders, United States forces captured Mustafa al-Imam in Libya," Mr Trump said

Daytime Truck Ban Imposed In Mogadishu

Trucks and tankers will be banned from entering Mogadishu during the day in the wake of two deadly attacks on the Somali capital in just two weeks.

It is hoped the ban will improve security at a time when the effectiveness of its current measures is under the spotlight.

Two top security officials were fired following the most recent attack on 28 October which left at least 27 dead.

Another attack two weeks earlier killed more than 350 people.

The 14 October attack - the deadliest in Somalia's history - was carried out using a truck packed with explosives.

The capital's mayor, Thabit Abdi, announced that trucks and tankers cannot pass through the city from 07:00-20:00. Those flouting the ban risk a fine of $1,000 (£750).

The Somali government blames militant Islamic group al-Shabab for the 14 October bombing, which took place at a busy junction.

Cameroon Court Sentences Opposition Leader To 25 Years In Prison

A military court in Cameroon sentenced an opposition leader on Monday to 25 years in prison, his lawyer and Amnesty International said and denounced the trial as politically motivated.

The court convicted Aboubakar Siddiki, the president of northern Cameroon's main opposition party, of hostility against the homeland as well as revolution and contempt of the president over accusations he plotted to destabilize the country.

“We are going to appeal this decision, which does not seem to us to be at all just,” Siddiki’s lawyer, Emmanuel Simh, told Reuters.

In a statement, Amnesty said the prosecution was part of a government campaign to stifle its critics.

The government denies the charges are political.

Dozens of people have been killed and hundreds arrested in a crackdown in recent months on protests in Cameroon’s English-speaking regions.

Residents there say they suffer social and economic marginalization in the predominantly Francophone country.

The protests have become a lightning rod for opposition to President Paul Biya’s 35-year rule.

Besides Siddiki, the court sentenced Abdoulaye Harissou, a well-known notary, to three years in prison for failure to denounce a crime. The court also dropped charges against three journalists arrested in connection with the same case.

Woman Dumps Boyfriend For Negative Comment About Her Vagina & Encourages Others To Do Same

A doctor has urged women to ditch partners who tell them their vaginas aren't normal - and admitted she has done the same in the past.

Dr Jen Gunter, a gynaecologist from Canada, responded to recent reports that doctors were urging women not to put Vicks VapoRub on their vaginas .

Exasperated, she wrote on her blog: "For what I am sure is the 100th time the vagina needs no cleaning and the vulva needs very little.

"I know the array of useless feminine washes and wipes at the drugstore and the drivel spouted by Gwyneth Paltrow via GOOP imply otherwise, but I’m the actual expert."

She then revealed a very personal story about splitting up with a partner who commented on the smell of her vagina.

Jen wrote: "I once dated a guy who insinuated my vagina did not smell right.

"He was an ass in other ways too, but I just didn’t see it until he impugned my vagina.

"For example, he though (sic) my hair would be better if it were straight. Sadly I took the bait, it wasn’t.

"He thought I would look better if I dressed a certain way. Again I took the bait. I just felt worse.

"When it came around to telling me how my vagina could be better it finally clicked that this is a form of control that men often use.

"Fortunately I am an appropriately confident vagina expert and I had a light bulb moment and dumped his sorry ass.

"I realize this may border on TMI, but honestly if it happened to me I bet it has happened to other women."

She encourages others to break up with partners who ask them to change this about themselves or complain about smells.

"If you think you have a medical condition, see a doctor.
