The agenda of the meeting was not made public. This is coming after news broke that security operatives laid a siege on the residences of the President of the Senate, Bukola Saraki; and his deputy, Ike Ekweremadu.
The meeting also came a day after the police high command again invited Saraki for questioning over the recent Offa robbery.
Idris did not speak with State House correspondents after the meeting he had with the President. The Presidency is also yet to issue a statement on the meeting.
