Fayose Out Of 2019 Presidential Race & Here’s Why

Recall in September 2017, Governor Ayo Fayose stormed Abuja to declare his presidential ambition. The Governor had said as one of his predictions that would come to pass, that he would be president in 2019. But he has made a sudden u-turn now, saying he is out of the race.

While speaking during Musa Kwakwanso’s visit to Ado Ekiti who was in the state to seek support of Ekiti delegates, Fayose said;

“As a good leader, I cannot abandon my loyal deputy whose mandate was stolen by the APC and be pursuing another ambition,” he said.

“My posters are there in a room. I am committed to the recovery of the mandate,” he further said.
