Watch Thug Batter Pregnant Girlfriend On Crutches To The Floor

A thug was filmed viciously battering his pregnant girlfriend on crutches to the floor before repeatedly punching and stomping on her.

Jamar Bernard Woody, 35, was handed an eight-year jail term for the sickening assault in the middle of a convenience store.

CCTV footage shows Woody repeatedly battering his girlfriend - who was three months pregnant at the time - around the head before then launching a volley of blows as she lay on the floor.

He has since pleaded with a judge to reduce his sentence.

He begged the judge not to force him to "watch my sons grow up through pictures", adding: "This is my breaking point, I’m not fit to take this right now," according to The Roanoke Times .

But the judge said the sentence for the horrific attack was not unreasonable and refused to cut his prison term.

Woody was jailed for malicious wounding over the assault in June last year.

There were gasps from the jury at his trial as footage showed him batter the helpless Shatory Irving, who was using a crutch, to the floor before repeatedly punching and stomping on her.

A cashier at the shop in North Carolina rushed to her aid and ordered Woody to leave the premises.

The victim is said to have suffered a cut to her forehead that exposed part of her skull. However she was still the sole character witness at Woody's trial.

Her baby, although born premature, was unharmed by the incident.

“She really is fortunate that she wasn’t hurt more than she actually was,” assistant commonwealth's attorney David Billingsley said.

The victim gave a character reference for Woody at his trial, telling the court she did not want him to go to jail.

Why Care4Calais UK Was Closed Up, The Real S*x Link That Shut It

From the moment it was launched in 2015, on a wave of heart-warming largesse, the British charity Care4Calais became a magnet for those determined to ease the plight of refugees stranded in northern France.

Volunteers pitching up at the charity’s usually bustling warehouse near Sangatte in Calais this week, however, would have found the rented building — still stuffed to the rafters with bags of donations from kind-hearted Brits — virtually abandoned.

A sign is taped to the door, declaring operations ‘on the ground’ have been suspended.

The reason for halting their urgent humanitarian work? According to a statement on the charity’s website, it’s down to an ‘immediate security issue linked to a former volunteer’.
But, as the Mail can reveal, the true story behind the temporary closure of this controversial charity is far more disturbing than that statement implies. The volunteer referred to is Mohamed Bajjar, a 28-year-old Tunisian who, we revealed earlier this year, had a year-long affair with Care4Calais’s 46-year-old married founder, Clare Moseley — the same boss who implemented a strict ‘no sex with refugees’ policy among staff.

Their relationship ended acrimoniously at the end of 2016 amid claims that Bajjar, who has frequently posed as a Syrian refugee called ‘Kimo’ and was hired by the charity as a translator and bodyguard, had tried to con Mrs Moseley out of thousands of pounds.

It was Bajjar, the Mail can reveal, who on June 14 broke into the Care4Calais warehouse and who, in an apparent act of revenge directed at Mrs Moseley, poured petrol around the building, intent on setting it ablaze. His spite towards his ex-lover apparently ran deep. Before the failed attack, he texted a friend with a chilling message which was shown to the Mail: ‘I will just end up killing her and taking her life easy. I’m really ready to do it because I love her more than anything in the world.’

Fortunately, he was thwarted before he could ignite the petrol.

Morgan Schuppe, 29, whose family owns the warehouse, said: ‘Kimo turned up alone clearly in a very agitated state. He was carrying cans of petrol and spread it all over the warehouse.

‘He was shouting about how he was going to set the warehouse on fire. He said he wanted to “kill everyone” associated with the charity, and he was particularly angry with Clare.’

Once inside, Bajjar stole keys and around 30 mobile phones which belonged to the charity. ‘I was present with charity workers,’ said Mr Schuppe. ‘We were very scared. I tried to reason with him. His breath smelt of alcohol. He was clearly drunk and furious. He said he had a grievance with Clare.’

Mr Schuppe knew ‘Kimo’ from his time as a worker with the charity but said he had ‘changed completely’.

‘He was in a terrible state. I called the police and when they turned up they had to handcuff him. Kimo was taken away and placed in custody in Calais. The police are not able to tell me how he is being dealt with. We are living in fear of him returning. We have spent a lot of money changing locks and reinforcing doors.’

Morgan’s uncle, Michael Schuppe, who owns the warehouse, added: ‘We may have to review our relations with the charity.’

While Bajjar is believed to be in police custody in Calais, Mrs Moseley, whose husband, Ben, 39, is a corporate tax partner at Deloitte in Manchester, is travelling in the U.S.

The statement about the closure of Care4Calais referred to ‘our founder and CEO, who will be absent for some weeks due to health issues and other personal commitments’.

But this nasty incident has again embroiled Care4Calais in a highly damaging scandal, one in which the fall-out from Mrs Moseley’s private life threatens to overshadow her volunteers’ philanthropy.

Beyonce & Jay Z Name Twins

With a big sister named Blue Ivy, Beyonce and Jay Z's new twins were always going to have unusual monikers.

And despite the couple's silence on their new babies - they have yet to even officially confirm the birth - their names appear to have finally emerged.

The newborns were revealed to be named Rumi and Sir Carter, after their parents filed trademarks to protect the names.

According to TMZ the company run by Beyonce and Jay Z filed legal documents on Friday to secure the rights to the unusual monikers.

While both names are distinctly unusual choices, Sir is the more uncommon of the two - with the name normally used as a title before a man's first name.

Meanwhile, while Rumi is a Japanese girls name, it's also the last name of the famed 13th century Persian poet Jelaluddin Rumi.

Photos: World Super Stars Grace Leo Messi’s Wedding To Childhood Sweetheart

More than 250 friends and family - including some of football's biggest stars and pop star Shakira jetted to Argentina, to watch the sporting star, 30, marry Antonella Roccuzzo, 29, at the plush hotel complex as an alleged family feud threatened to overshadow the day.

The couple, who have known each other for some 25 years, banned mobile phones at the event. Staff were also sworn to secrecy and 450 police officers were drafted in for the big day.

Antonella looked stunning in a white lace Rosa Clara dress, while Messi was wearing an Armani suit designed by Argentinian designer Claudio Cosano.

The world's press lined a red carpet at the entrance of the hotel in Rosario.

Guests chose whether they walked along it to be photographed and interviewed, or went through a discreet side entrance.

Former Barcelona players Xavi Alonso, Cesc Fabregas and Carles Puyol and their wives posed for the world's press on arrival.

Earlier an aunt of Messi's was caught out live on TV when an America TV channel called her to interview her about her nephew and she revealed bitterly that she hadn't been invited to the wedding.

When the woman found out she was live on air she hung up, and when the show called again she answered in tears, blamed Messi's 'horrible' mother Celia for being shafted from the ceremony.

I Used To Be A Chin Chin Seller- Waje

Talking about her grass to grace story, waje had a chat with Saturday Beats where she spoke about how she hustled as a chin chin seller and also explained her first ever reward for music was N500. Hear her;

“I don’t like cooking but I love to bake and I did that for a while with my friend Ijeoma Uzodima. We used to have this chin chin company and we used to sell everything in our stock. I remember that the magistrates in Onitsha at the time used to order from us and we used to sell it in a small can for about N600. We would cut 50kg chin chin for three days and my back would be paining me. I probably would have continued with that if I was not a singer. Ijeoma who is my very good friend was actually the one who used to push me,” she said.

The sonorous songstress said that the first time she was paid for her performance, she was given N500 and it lasted her for a week. Continue...

The day she was given N300,000, she wanted to go crazy. Waje said, “When I started my career, it was someone that drew my attention that I could make money from music. I remember the first time I sang in my school in UNN, I was wearing a red dress and I sang Whitney Houston’s ‘I will always love you.’ It was just my voice and there was no instrumental, the crowd went crazy. I think after my performance, they gave me about N500. That was enough for a week in school. I remember the first time I earned N300,000, it was from Zain Mobile Telecomms. They had an end of the year party in Enugu and they asked me to come and perform. When I got the money, I went haywire. I am the first in my family, so the money really helped to stabilise a few things.”
