15 killed as wall collapses at construction site in India

At least 15 people were killed, including three children, when a compound wall near a construction site fell on temporary huts of laborers in the western Indian city of Pune following heavy rain, a fire brigade official said on Saturday.

Families of construction laborers were sleeping in the huts when the building wall collapsed in the early morning, he said.

“We are trying to rescue people that are trapped under the wall and the soil mud,” said the official, adding “so far we have rescued three workers.”

Pune, where some information technology and auto companies are based, has been getting heavy rainfall since Friday afternoon and it could have weakened “the poorly built wall”, said a Pune city government official.

Every June-September monsoon season, India experiences fatal incidents of building and wall collapses as rainfall weakens the foundation of poorly-built structures.

US and China agree to restart trade talks

The United States and China have agreed to resume trade negotiations, easing a protracted row that has fuelled a global economic slowdown.

US President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping reached the agreement on the sidelines of the G20 summit in Japan.

Mr Trump said the talks had been "excellent".

He had threatened to impose an additional $300bn (£236bn) in tariffs on Chinese imports.

However after the meeting in Osaka, he confirmed that Washington would not be adding the additional tariffs, and that he would continue to negotiate with Beijing "for the time being".

The US president also announced that American companies could continue to sell to the Chinese technology firm Huawei, which Washington has banned because of security concerns.

Anger over Mo Salah's 'second chance' tweet

Egyptian footballer Mohamed Salah is being criticised after suggesting a teammate accused of sexual harassment should be given a "second chance".

The Liverpool superstar, who told Time magazine in April that the Middle East needed to change how it treats women, defended Amr Warda on Thursday in a tweet.

After women came forward with allegations of harassment, the Egyptian Football Federation (EFA) excluded Warda from playing in the Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon), which Egypt are currently hosting.

The midfielder initially denied the allegations but on Thursday he apologised in a video on Twitter and promised not to repeat the incidents. Salah is now being criticised for supporting such an act.

Kenya bill aims to ban use of phones in online gambling

A bill is currently going through parliament in Kenya that aims to ban use of mobile phones in online gambling, according to Kenya's Business Daily newspaper.

If the law is passed, anyone who uses a phone to place a bet will be fined 2m Kenyan shillings ($20,000).

This will increase to 50m Kenyan shillings for businesses placing bets using mobile phones.

Gamblers who currently make bets on their mobile phones do not necessarily need a bank account.

''@timidakolo , what can I say about your wife! A woman of strength, courage. We all, as women, must rise up and demand justice. I sponsored the violence against persons bill which prescribes life imprisonment for rape!!Busola, you’ve got my back!''

It’s only an allegation, calm down people! Bobrisky defends Biodun Fatoyinbo

Bobrisky has lend his voice on the rape allegation leveled against controversial clergyman, Biodun Fatoyinbo by Busola Dakolo calling it ‘’only an allegation’’.
The words of the Nigerian cross-dresser;

‘’If we all are given an opportunity to talk about dis man here @biodunfatoyinbo as far as am concerned I will say he was nice to me. Have once attended his church in abj before and he was pleasant to me. For the allegation on him I can’t say anything to it because I haven’t seen any evidence to believe that story. I smile for Nigeria 🇳🇬 a lot of you were going to his page to curse him and insult him. He hasn’t been proven guilty yet, y going to his page to cal him names. Is only an allegations... it’s not yet proven by any court that he is guilty of the allegations on him. Y insulting him. Some of you will insult me yeah!!!! But you all know I don’t care 🤷♀️. Let stop internet bully. Have a wonderful day ❤️’’

Wale Jana calls Timi Dakolo a struggling musician as he says Busola wants to cash in on this but celebrities come for him

Wale Jana, CEO of Sapphire Group, has defended Pastor Abiodun Fatoyinbo saying the rape allegation against him is not true and Busola only wants to use it to bring the Pastor down and cash in on it! He then encouraged anyone Pastor Biodun has helped to speak up and defend him at this time! Taking to his instagram page, to attack Busola and her husband, Wale wrote;

I just watched @busoladakolo video I know the world gets emotional the moment a woman mentions that she was raped but if you will take a minute to think objectively; the oldest way a woman can try to destroy a man is to accuse him of rape. Any man is guilty of this offence in the eyes of the public until otherwise and if she has a little social status like the wife of a struggling musician like @timidakolo it makes it look credible.

Why is she doing this? Timi and wife are a pawn in a conspiracy and also because it will help him sell some records which he desperately needs to sell, they will also trend for a while, she has already opened unbroken.ng an online platform to cash in on the drama just like @esewalter and then its over!

I am a proud COZA member and @biodunfatoyinbo is my father and he has been a blessing to millions of people all over the world. This time there will be no silence and since you want war, you will have it. If @biodunfatoyinbo has been a blessing to you, its time to speak up, don't keep quiet!

@timidakolo and @busoladakolo are not saints, she was a choir member and Timi was a choir leader in church when she got pregnant with her first baby, Timi denied that they weren't having an affair and then she got pregnant the second time and that was when the church forced them to get married. This chorister was sleeping with her choir master and was a baby mama with two kids before they got married. These are morally bankrupt people and all that talk in the video will not hold water under cross examination.

Another thing that bothers me is why all the people troubling the body of christ @daddyfreeze @timidakolo@busoladakolo @chudeity all attend a particular church

Timi and Busola have a LOT of skeletons and they both live in glass houses and they are busy throwing stones. Its time to shatter this house of cards these people have built, its time to deal with cyber bullying and vague social media allegations and this couple will be the scape goats.

Celebrities however called him out, saying it’s shameful of him to wrote such….
