He's famous around the world thanks to his skills with a football. But it seems that David Beckham has hidden talents, as the former Manchester United and England star showed off his flair for cookery, on Tuesday night.

Taking to Instagram, the 41-year-old sporting star shared a snap of himself crouched by the oven in his kitchen with a tasty looking pie clasped in his hands.

Sharing the image with his 33.1million followers, David looked to be as big a talent in the kitchen as he was on the football field.


Wearing a beaming smile from ear-to-ear, the father-of-four seemed very proud of his handy-work.

Clasping a golden-brown pie fresh from the oven, with the aid of a kitchen towel, David looked to have just pulled the tasty meal straight out of the oven.

David and wife Victoria are famously good-friends with world-famous chef Gordon Ramsay and his wife Tana, so it was little surprise to see that the former midfield star flagged the bake to his pal.

"Can't say I'm not impressed with the kid's dinner tonight .. Chicken and leek pie with CRUSTY pastry... @gordongram," wrote the star beside the picture.

And it seems that his legion of fans approved of the bake, as they congratulated him on the delicious-looking pie.
