The Duke and Duchess of Sussex chatted with Zamaswazi Dlamini-Mandela at the event the day before what would have been Mandela's 100th birthday.
Meghan looked pretty in pink as she opened the London exhibition, which provides an insight into Mandela’s journey from young anti-apartheid campaigner to becoming the inspiration for an international movement against South Africa’s violent and oppressive system.
The Nelson Mandela Centenary Exhibition will run at Southbank Centre until August 19.
The Duke and Duchess viewed some of the items in the exhibit, including the Robben Island Bible - which was actually a copy of Shakespeare plays disguised as a Bible.
The couple also met friends, family, and important figures to Nelson Mandela at the exhibition.
