Spartak Moscow star Denis Glushakov, 31, was relaxing in the heat ahead of a big game when his dental surgeon wife Daria, 27, decided to pop in.
Daria Glushakov was filming as her he came out wearing only a towel and tried to grab her smartphone.
She claimed to have caught the club captain "red handed" with a woman she branded "his prostitute".
Daria, who has two kids with Glushakov, is heard saying: "They were sitting at the table.
"There was wine, hookah and fruits. She was sitting on his lap, naked, and he was in a towel."
Moments later, she said "here is his prostitute" before later branding the woman his "mistress".
The footage has gone viral in video although the mystery woman had gotten dressed and vanished by the time Daria started filming.
It took place a couple of days before Spartak's big derby game with Dynamo on 25 August, which Glushakov's team won 2-1.
Glushakov, due to play for Spartak in Europa League ties against Glasgow Rangers in October and November, has denied being with a "prostitute".
Through his lawyer, the Russia international said he was hanging out with his "childhood friend" Kristina.
He also claimed he and Daria had already split when she stormed into the sauna and busted him.
His lawyer Marina Dubrovskaya also accused Daria of cheating on the footballer, though his wife denies both claims.
Daria said she began attacking her husband when she entered the sauna after being tipped off by a friend.
She told told Russian-website Life: "In the end, I started to film and he tried to take away my phone.
"He began to choke me, and I screamed. Of course, I defended myself. Denis tried to kick me out and take away the phone."
The player’s lawyer said: "Denis and his wife had not lived together for six months.
"All her claims and shouts on the video are absolutely unfounded, especially since that was his childhood friend."

She told told Russian-website Life: "In the end, I started to film and he tried to take away my phone.
"He began to choke me, and I screamed. Of course, I defended myself. Denis tried to kick me out and take away the phone."

"All her claims and shouts on the video are absolutely unfounded, especially since that was his childhood friend."
