The unnamed chief protection officer is said to be leaving her role after just six months of working with the Duchess.
She could become the third member of Meghan's staff to quit.
Personal assistant, Melissa Touabti, walked-away from Kensington Palace last year and private secretary Samantha Cohen is also rumoured to be leaving.
Now, an insider has claimed Meghan is "gutted" to lose her female bodyguard, saying: "The Duchess is gutted - so the officer is also upset as she didn't want to leave the team."
The bodyguard is understood to be leaving the Metropolitan Police entirely, after working for the force's diplomatic and royalty protection squad, reports People .
Previously, a royal insider revealed the 37-year-old Duchess, who is expecting her first baby in the spring, felt 'constrained' by the level of security she was surrounded with.
The source told The Daily Telegraph : "Unlike someone who has grown up in the royal family and has been used to having close protection from an early age, it can be constraining.
“Even though she was a famous actress, she could still do what she wanted in the way of getting around freely.
“But in her current role she can’t go anywhere without her protection team, and that’s a massive constraining force on an individual like her.”
