A storm chaser proposed to his boyfriend as a huge tornado swirled towards them. Joey Krastel, 27, got down on one knee in front of the tornado which hurtled through Tipton in Kansas on Tuesday.

In a sweet picture capturing the moment he popped the question to Chris Scott, 23, Joey captioned it: "The 2 loves of my life".

Joey, a meteorologist and risk analyst for the Maryland Emergency Management Agency, met Chris on Instagram and bonded over the fascination with natural disasters and storm chasing.

This week, the couple set out with two friends to 'catch' the Kansas tornado after the National Weather Service issued a 'tornado emergency'.
