Opor yen yen. Steven Spielberg's daughter Mikaela has defended her p3rn career as "life-affirming" and "healing".

Mikaela Spielberg, who was adopted by the director and his actress wife Kate Capshaw as a baby, went public with her new career as a p3rn star in February.

She has now opened up about her work, admitting it's helped her put her troubled past behind her.

The 24 year old confessed she'd suffered from years of mental health problems and substance abuse issues but is now doing well.

In an interview with the Daily Beast, she explained: "I’m really enjoying work, and it’s giving me a whole new life-affirming way to be."

She added that doing p3rn is part of a "healing journey" after years of struggling with her demons.

In the interview she added that she previously turned to substance abuse to help her cope with issues including anorexia and borderline personality disorder.

She said: "I felt like had I not done the work I needed to do on myself, and on my relationships, I would have been dead within the year.

"I was heartbroken, vulnerable, and felt like my soul had kind of been split in two. And I was covering that up with drinking... I am no longer like that."

Mikaela began her work in p3rn making her own videos at home, and she now sells them on adult website ManyVids.

She insists she has no plans to move into "hardcore content", insisting she prefers to create "soft" and "passion-oriented content".
