An eye witness said the man used wrapper to hang himself on the roof of his room on Sunday at Akitinyi village, Urum, in Awka North Local government area of Anambra state.
A member of the family on condition of anonymity said the deceased had complained to him a few days before his death of his wife’s infidelity.
It was gathered that his wife was away when the husband’s death was announced. The eye witness said: “She was called on phone to be informed of the death of her husband.
“He had a disagreement with the wife before she went out, only to be called on phone that her husband had committed suicide”.
Another relation of the deceased, Mr. Chimezie Udekwe, who described the deceased’s action as “mysterious and painful”, wondered what would become the fate of the children he left behind.
