Brooke Rosendale, 27, of Bloomdale, Ohio, pleaded guilty on January 26 to engaging in sexual conduct with a student who was 13 at the time.
Her young victim watched on in court as the former Riverdale teacher pleaded guilty to one count of sexual battery.
Two additional counts of sexual battery were dropped.
Rosendale became sexually engaged with the Riverdale student between January 4 and February 3 last year, according to the indictments.
She was a fifth-grade intervention specialist and a junior high girls volleyball and basketball coach at Riverdale before she resigned in March 2017.
She has voluntarily surrendered her teaching certificate, said Lora Manon, assistant Hancock County prosecutorm, The Findlay Courier reports.
