Harry Potter star Matthew Lewis stunned fans by revealing he'd tied the knot to his American girlfriend in a lavish Italian ceremony.

The actor, best known for playing hapless Neville Longbottom in the Harry Potter films, broke the happy news to fans via his Twitter account.

Matthew joked that he'd been forced to miss seeing the Arctic Monkeys in concert because Angela Jones had made him get married instead.

'Fuming,' he told fans.
