The command stated that despite constant announcements to the general public, including Cattle Breeders Association in the state about the cows, which had been in its custody, no one has claimed the ownership.
It added that the money realised from the sales would be used to compensate the farmers whose farm products were destroyed by the cows.
In a statement signed yesterday by its Public Relations Officer, Afolabi Tolulope, the Ekiti NSCDC stated that the cows were arrested in Orin-Ekiti where they were found destroying farms, and storage bans of some farmers.
