Meghan Markle was snapped putting a friendly hand on Kate Middleton's back as they brushed off rumours of a rift today.

The royal women joined the rest of the family to the Christmas Day church service at Sandringham, Norfolk.

But they have, for weeks, been plagued by rumours of a feud after a "ghastly row". And the former Suits actress, 37, put her hand gently on Duchess of Cambridge's back as they appeared to share a joke.

Meghan, heavily pregnant with her and Prince Harry's first baby, wore a stunning Victoria Beckham coat with £1,300 black boots today.

She was pictured holding tightly to her hubby's arm.

Kate, meanwhile, donned a £3,000 red Catherine Walker coat and £650 burgundy "Halo Band" made by milliner Jane Taylor.

Crowds lined up from the early hours of this morning to catch a glimpse of the royal family as they made their way into the 16th Century church.

Rumours of a rift between the Cambridges and the Sussexes have been swirling since it emerged last month Harry and Meghan were moving away from Kate and his brother .

Sources said the "stressful" fitting became too much for "emotional" Kate, who had just given birth to her third child, Louis.

But Kate and Meghan were all smiles and chatted as they walked shoulder-to-shoulder, along with their husbands, in front of an adoring crowd of hundreds.

Meghan's arm was wrapped around Harry's as the so-called "fab four" had a public reunion at Sandringham estate and were joined by the princes' father, Prince Charles.

Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, 71, was suffering from a heavy cold and was also absent, as her husband Prince Charles, 70, joined his sons and their wives as they made the short walk from the Queen's Sandringham home to the nearby church of St Mary Magdalene.
