Ed Sheeran reveals he'll be taking an 'extended break' from music to spend time with wife

He has been touring the world for the last two years. And Ed Sheeran reportedly revealed that he will be taking an 'extended break' at his fourth and final homecoming show on Monday in Chantry Park, Ipswich, following the end of his record-breaking Divide tour.

The Shape Of You hitmaker, 28, is said to be taking a short hiatus from music in order to spend time with his wife Cherry Seaborn, who he married in December 2018.

Ed reportedly said at his final show on Monday night, after turning his hometown into a massive festival venue: 'As you may or not know, I’ve been on the Divide tour for over two years now and this is the last day of the whole thing.'


'There is something very bittersweet about it. I love that you guys are here and we are ending it in Ipswich. This is my last gig for probably 18 months,' The Sun reports.
